Benjamin directed and co-produced The Throwaway War, which earned a festival prize, an Excellence Award in Production from Northwestern University, the "Champion for Recovery" award from A Safe Haven Foundation, and a commercial distribution offer.

Among other films, Singer's collaboration on "A Dream Foreclosed" was showcased at the 2009 Chicago United Film Festival, and he was flown to the Petèn region of Guatemala to produce a short film on the developing community of Pueblo Nuevo. His last film, Andrew Immortal, was a provocative narrative-documentary crossover that earned a favorable review from the co-director of production and development at Lionsgate.

Benjamin’s direction of a video for Engineers for a Sustainable World helped win a national contest, securing funding for an environmental engineering project in the Midwest.
